My Approach
I take a client centered approach, empowering clients to take back their lives from the eating disorder. I meet them where they are while helping them to challenge eating disorder thoughts and behaviors, as they journey through recovery.
I practice from a Health at Every Size informed approach, helping clients to focus less on the number on the scale and more on enhancing overall well-being. I've always known that the scale never tells the full story and hyper focusing on a number can lead to dangerous behaviors. This approach has proven to be successful during my time as a recovery coach. I am passionate about helping clients in finding new meanings to life and new reasons to continue along a path of more values-aligning coping skills and behaviors.
I have had numerous trainings in DBT, CBT, and mindfulness practices and use skills from these modalities with my coaching clients. I take a holistic approach to treatment and feel that it is important that I collaborate with other providers on the client’s treatment team in order to provide the best possible care.
I love helping clients to break free from disordered behaviors, to discover food freedom, body acceptance, and self-compassion.
*I am taking on a limited number of new coaching clients. If spots are full, I am happy to refer you to another clinician or put you on a wait-list.

"Working with Javoni was an incredible support for my client. My client was always excited to tell me about what they had learned with Javoni, and I saw immediate improvements in my client's relationships with food and their body. Javoni made sure to explain things in ways that my client understood, and was gentle enough that my client felt comfortable sharing deeply personal and intimate issues around their body, while tough enough to ensure that my client followed through. My client has a much better relationship with food and their body. I cannot recommend Javoni enough!!"
